BYRON, IL – July 1, 2025 – The Meltdown Drags Association is excited to announce a special collaboration with Byron Dragway staff for the upcoming Glory Days Vintage Drag Race, Car Show & Swap Meet, taking place July 18–20, 2025.
In preparation for the highly anticipated Meltdown 10, scheduled for July 17–18, 2026, race cars participating in Glory Days 2025 will receive added consideration during the selection process for next year’s milestone event.
All interested participants are reminded that vehicles must meet event criteria and will undergo a formal selection process. Due to overwhelming interest and limited space, we anticipate reaching race car capacity quickly.
Racers must register on or after January 1, 2026 and ensure their cars align with event standards to increase the chance of securing a spot at both historic gatherings.
